About me
Benjamin Plá is the Expanded Learning Program Specialist at San Jacinto Unified School District, where he is entering his 10th year in public education. With over a decade of experience in education, Benjamin holds a B.S. in Applied Business Analytics from Grand Canyon University. He also brings more than five years of leadership experience, leading both managers and individual contributors to achieve ambitious goals, provide constructive feedback, and manage organizational change.
Benjamin is skilled in analyzing data to drive decision-making and problem-solving, as well as in designing and implementing efficient operations. His leadership extends beyond day-to-day operations, he has coached and facilitated the district's Equity Task Force, focusing on improvement initiatives designed to close achievement gaps. As an Equity Team Co-Lead, he remains committed to fostering an equitable and inclusive educational environment.
In addition to his expertise in educational leadership, Benjamin has certifications in CORE LIFT Improvement Science Facilitation and the CCSESA Improvement Science Coaching Course.
Currently, Benjamin is leading a change initiative focused on increasing student participation and engagement in the expanded learning programs aiming to enhance outcomes for the district’s students.
